Urgent Help Needed for Mark and Alyssa's Family After House Fire
On Saturday, December 21st, 2024, my brother Mark and his family who live in Stillwater NJ were struck by a devastating house fire. Thankfully, Alyssa, their two boys, and the family dog got out safely while Mark battled the blaze with a fire extinguisher until emergency services arrived. They are extremely grateful that the fire didn’t happen while they were asleep, and we are deeply thankful for the firefighters, police officers, American Red Cross, community members, and friends who rushed to their aid.
Sadly, the fire caused significant damage to their home, and it will take many months to repair and rebuild. For now, Mark, Alyssa, their two boys, and their dog are living in two hotel rooms while they try to rebuild their lives. They have lost many of their belongings due to fire, smoke, and water damage, and while they are reluctant to ask for help, they are in urgent need of support.
Immediate Needs:
- Food and groceries
- Household items
- Clothing (for adults and kids)
- Toys for the boys
- Games to help pass the time
- Dog care items, including diapers for their dog
- Funds for rebuilding and replacing lost household items
I’m reaching out on behalf of my family to ask for donations to help cover these immediate expenses. Any amount, no matter how small, will go a long way in helping them get back on their feet during this incredibly difficult time.
Thank you very much for considering a donation to support Mark, Alyssa, and their boys. Your kindness, generosity, and prayers are truly appreciated. We promise to donate any surplus after procuring immediate needs to the American Red Cross and/or Stillwater and Fredon Townships Volunteer Fire Departments.
