Hi, my name is Marissa and I am trying to raise funds, clothes, etc. for my aunt, Lisa Poniatowski And her roommates.

On 5/23/25, her South Freeport rental house caught fire. Her roommate, Richard Flynn, who works for Bobbi and the Strays animal rescue, was able to get their three dogs out of the home safely when he saw smoke coming from one of the bedrooms. They have nothing but the clothes on their backs at this time. Everything was lost. It is unknown at this time what the landlord will do to help them, if anything. They are trying to secure a new place to go because they are unable to return home.

All four of the roommates are great people. My aunt has basically become a second mom to my kids. I was recently diagnosed with a rare neurological disease, and countless times she has dropped everything to help me. I wish I could help her more at this time. I am a Nassau County Probation Officer out on sick leave currently.

Rich Flynn has helped countless animals. He is an animal whisperer for sure. He was even interviewed a few years ago when Bobbi and the Strays helped to rehabilitate a dog that was extremely malnourished and dumped at the shelter. At this time, Rich and the dogs are staying at the shelter because he refuses to leave them.

The other two roommates are a retired NYPD officer and a public bus driver. Anything can help at this time. Thank you for reading this and for your donations.
