On Wednesday, August 20, something happened that we all hope to never experience, my dear friend’s home caught fire. Thanks to the incredible firefighters of the Roseville Fire Department, an even greater tragedy was prevented. Most importantly, Leila, Corey, the kids, and the cats are all safe. We are beyond grateful that the damage was only to things, not lives.
That said, the reality of losing so much is overwhelming. From clothing and furniture to linens and everyday essentials, so much will need to be replaced. On top of that, the stress of finding a place to live and facing unexpected costs has been crushing.
The past two years have already been financially difficult for my friend, and just as she was starting to rebuild and get back on her feet, this devastating setback hit, something no one can ever truly prepare for.
If you’re able to lend a hand, in any amount, it would mean the world. Your generosity will not only help replace what was lost but also remind this family that they are not facing this hardship alone. We are forever grateful for your kindness and support.
