Fire Relief For Justen Bear
During the recent wildfires here in Southern Oregon, Justen Bear lost many things that were both precious to him in a nostalgic way but also in their material value, particularly in granting him the ability to provide for his family.
He lost several thousands of dollars worth of catering equipment that he used to cater private events. Alongside this his entire 20 year collection of hand-crafted bows and drums. 120 or more, in process, and completed, pieces. With this went many of the tools he used to craft these as well as run his carpentry and construction business. His loss also included many household items and furnishings.
He's fortunate that all of these things were in a storage unit separate from his actual home that he was just preparing to move into.
Obviously much of what was lost is irreplaceable with any amount of money. It's my hope that these funds will help Justen to be able to acquire again the essentials he needs to run his businesses as quickly as possible and to support him in getting set up in his new home for himself and his 8 year old son Sequoia.
Justen has always been one to stretch himself even when he has had very little, to support others in need wherever possible. His generosity, I have experienced personally many times in both the practical and spiritual realm. I know he has touched many lives through his ceremonial work, holding many years of community sweatlodges to bring people together for healing. He has never been one to ask for much. And I imagine this will be difficult for him to receive.
I hope that people that have been touched by Justen's many gifts can find it in yourselves to give back some support to him at this time.
Thank you for your consideration.
