FIRE RELIEF FOR GOLIATH MOUNTAIN
Donation protected
It has been nearly a week since the destructive Klamathon fires raged thru Hornbrook Northern California leaving the land scorched black and looking like scenes from a war zone. While some members of communities affected were blessed to have their homes and personal property spared, many members suffered crippling losses from the fires including a valued member of the Rescue Community Victoria Stewart.
The total cost to the damages and loss to Victoria’s home and property is still being calculated and many experts suspect that the total impact will run into the tens of thousands of dollars. Extensive smoke and water damage from firefighters battling the blaze are what’s left of part of Victoria’s home that remains standing but is uninhabitable. The water pump that serves her home and the adjacent building for her rescue dogs was destroyed and there is no electricity. Thankfully, the building for her dogs was relatively untouched and remains standing. A true miracle.
Victoria and a team of amazing humans risked their lives and braved the fires to ensure that ALL her animals made it out alive. Other rescues, fellow Goliath Mountain board of directors and boarding facilities are giving the displaced dogs shelter and care while Victoria deals with the aftermath of this tragedy
Victoria is now not only shouldering the heaviest of tolls as she tries to regroup and rebuild but has boarding and vet bills accumulating on top of it all.
Victoria’s rescue Goliath Mountain Rescue is 501(c)(3) non profit organization who has saved countless dogs lives. She has always put the dogs first and does so to this day ensuring her evacuation plan was executed effectively and efficiently with no life lost. It’s now the Rescue Community, animal lovers and advocates turn to lend our hand and support to a lady and rescue who truly needs it.
Donations to national organizations can take months to begin distributing funds, and are applied upon varying terms. Your support to Victoria and her Rescue here via this fundraiser will have an immediate and substantial impact. With your help, she can continue to feed, shelter and provide vet care to her dogs who, like her, have lost everything in the aftermath of the fire while also contributing to help rebuild the home and wonderful facility that was Goliath Mountain Rescue.
Will you help Victoria and Goliath Mountain get on its feet again as quickly as possible?
Here are a few examples of the ways that your donations can help:
A donation of $25 dollars would help provide ta few days boarding, meals, and continued shelter to one of the dogs displaced from the fire.
A donation of $100 dollars will ensure that a few of the animals continue to have a safe place to stay, meals for an extended period of time.
A donation of $500 dollars will help, clean up, repair of the water pump and restore electricity that drives Victoria’s home and facility. It would also assist in the vetting bills incurred
Any amount you decide to donate will be very much appreciated and will make a huge difference in the lives of Victoria and her rescue dogs who’s lives have been upended. Together, we can restore of Goliath Mountain Rescue to the place that we all know and love
