Dan and Dana Pinney lost their home and all of their belongings in a fire on Labor Day.
Fortunately, no one was injured and their dogs and cat are safe. They have family nearby to support them and provide a place to stay, but it is going to take a lot of time, money, and patience to rebuild after the fire, including replacing all the little things that are easy to take for granted.
I am Dan's manager at Xylem and have had the privilege of working with him for several years. For those of you who know Dan well, you already know that he meets every obstacle with a sense of humor and a humble outlook. For example, when he texted me the picture below and said "This is not how I expected to end the weekend. I'm gonna be out for a while and will also need a new PC".
I spoke with Dan today and he is humbled at the outpouring of support from friends and colleagues. I am co-sponsoring this GoFundMe with my manager, Renee Peet, to provide an easy way for friends and colleagues to offer their help.
Please consider a small donation along with some words of encouragement to help them get through the weeks ahead. Dan plans to donate any excess funds to Hurricane Ida victims in Louisiana.
