Hello friends-

We are reaching out to our immediate circle of friends and family following the horrific fire that has destroyed the Last Chance Community in the Santa Cruz Mountains.  By the grace of God, our dear Barbara Bacon barely got out with her life...and tragically had to leave behind her horse, dogs, cats, ducks and sheep. All were lost in the fire including her home, land, and all of her personal possessions.

We are not sure if her insurance policy will cover the full amount of her mortgage; and unfortunately Barbara does not have the means to pay her insurance deductible, or replace anything such as clothing or personal property . She is currently wearing her grandchildren’s clothes, and staying with her daughter Chris Tracy.

You hear about this happening to other communities on the news. But, this tragedy is striking in our own backyard, on the land that we love...to people that we love. If you are able to donate anything at all, it would be appreciated more than you know. No donation is too small.
