Dear Friends and Community:

Aisha Wand - our beloved dance instructor, choreographer, educator, community leader and friend - has lost the home she shared with Jeff to the Almeda Glendower Fire that ravaged North Ashland, Talent and Phoenix.  
Aisha, Jeff, Nikko and Siena escaped yesterday but lost their house and everything inside to the fast moving blaze.
Aisha is a giant in our community:  a mentor, sister, friend and teacher who has for nearly two decades,  influenced so many of our youth to move in confidence and to love themselves as they learned to love dance.
She  and her dancers have entertained us at AHS and SOU athletic halftimes, in countless parades and community events like the MLK Day celebration; she tirelessly donates her choreography skills to fundraisers at OSF and the Festival of Trees.

We are reaching out to ask for help to lift Aisha and Jeff during this tragedy so they can begin to rebuild their lives. 
This has been a particularly difficult spring and summer, with studio dance classes halted due to the pandemic. Let’s gather together and give to alleviate the pressure of this setback in an already financially strained year for Jeff and Aisha.  Please donate whatever you can - sharing what we can spare for a family that has given so much and needs us now!
