Jennifer Manchester and her sister, Alex Garcia are amazing human beings. During the times when life is at it's most chaotic, these two women have gone beyond the call of duty to be the light in the storm.
Now they are experiencing their own storm. On the evening of Thursday, August 27th 2020, an electrical fire broke out in the living room of Jennifer and Alex's home. The fire spread quickly through their beautiful country house, which also served as the business office for Saving Kain Animal Rescue.
The house is a total loss. Many irreplaceable family items were destroyed in the fire, which consumed nearly all that these two kind hearted women own. In addition, Saving Kain Rescue rescue is now a total loss and will have to be closed. The Sheriff says that these animals, along with their heartbroken caregivers, will need to find new immediate places.
During a time where the country is tearing itself apart we cannot let those who have devoted themselves to kindness face this kind of tragedy alone. Insurance alone will not cover all that has been lost. These women need help securing temporary housing for themselves and for these animals. They need help replacing basic necessities. Rescue work is work that pays only in love... lets give some of that love back!
Give what you can, if you can, and share with everyone who has ever experienced the love of a rescue animal or the loss of a home. Share with people who have hearts as big as Jennifer & Alex. We owe them that.
