Hello my name is William Porter and on 4/22 my mom Becky Porter, and brother Rob Porter, had to evacuate their house of 65 years due to a house fire.
Although my mom and brother escaped unharmed, there was significant damage to the bedroom and attic. Due to unexpected circumstances the house deed was never changed to my mother’s name when my grandmother passed away a few years ago. This has caused issues with my mother obtaining home owners insurance. Sadly my mother is on disability and we are now facing a large financial situation.
My grandparents moved into the house when my mom was 11 months. It is very dear to our hearts and we are trying everything to save it. If you know my mother you know she would give the shirt off her back to a stranger if they needed it. My mother is always someone you can rely on and count on. We are asking friends, and family to help in any small way you can, even if it’s just sharing our post. We would greatly appreciate it.
