In the early hours of the morning on Friday January 31st our shop, Son’s Deli & Pizza in Clarksville, had a kitchen fire. Thankfully , our local law enforcement discovered the blaze and were able to put it out before it could spread too far. The task of getting things cleaned and back in order can start moving forward now, after the insurance process began. However, we have discovered our staff will not be covered financially through our policy.
As most of our community is aware, our staff is practically family. Some of the HARDEST workers we’ve had the pleasure to work alongside. They make sure the shop runs like a well oiled machine, day in and day out - taking pride in the food they prep and the service they give. Without them, this ship would go down (quick!). We anticipate an early spring return to business; in the meantime, we want to make an effort to ease any financial burden they encounter with this unexpected closure. It is our hope they all stick with us during this temporary setback, and we can pick right back up where we started!
Our goal amount is an estimate to cover staff pay for 5 weeks - most of our staff is full-time, and this was a sole source of income, so truly ANY little bit helps. We are so grateful for the support of the community, and just hope to pay it forward to our incredible staff! *funds raised to go to staff ONLY and to be kept separate from the business*
