Fire Recovery for Our Family Home
Donation protected
On the afternoon of Saturday, May 31st a suspected electrical fire broke out in the attic of our family home causing significant damage. Our family home is shared by my mom/stepdad, my uncle/aunt, my brother + his wife and their 2 kids along with myself and my twin boys. The four children range in ages from 9-11.
We are grateful that no one was hurt and we also thank God that our entire house did not go up in flames. At the same time we know that we are now facing an overwhelming road to recovery. We know that we will have to reinvest thousands of dollars back into our home to make it livable again. We need financial help to cover the upcoming inspections and the extensive repairs. We anticipate that we will also need help with securing temporary living arrangements as we work to restore our home. Unfortunately, because the fire department had to cut a hole in the roof the home was declared an unsafe structure and the power was shut off. The power won’t be restored until the appropriate permits are pulled and repairs are made.
We thank all of our family and friends for their prayers and their support. No donation will be too big or too small. Thank you for showing our family that we are not alone.
