Fire Recovery for Melanie, Michelle & Aurélie

On December 23rd, a fire broke out in our neighbour's apartment, rapidly spreading to our home, causing extensive water and smoke damage that has forced us to dispose of the majority of our possessions, and move ourselves and what’s left of our belongings out by the first week of January.
This space has been very special to us and our community. Many of you are grieving with us, and have asked how you can support financially.
As the emotional reality sinks in and we take stock of the damage, we have been reminded that it takes a community to move through hardship.
Your support would allow us to cover:
- Cleaning the water and smoke damage for the little that is recoverable;
- Replacing furniture, mattresses, household essentials, medications, personal hygiene products, food, and the list goes on;
- Securing a new apartment for the three of us, moving our possessions from storage, and paying dramatically more in rent for the next 6 months or more.
