My name is Leslie and yesterday, 4/12/25, we lost everything we had in our apartment. A fire started in a neighboring unit and spread throughout the building in minutes. I am a single grandmother raising two of my granddaughters. One is a straight-A senior at an early college high school. She is heading off to college this year and has lost everything she had, including all her graduation stuff, such as her cap and gown. My other granddaughter just turned 9 a few weeks ago and also lost everything, including her birthday gifts. We are asking for any help, as we only have the clothes on our backs and trying to start over is very hard. The Red Cross gave enough money for two nights in a hotel.
