I’m reaching out on behalf of my mom, *

DeAnna, and her boyfriend, Will, who recently lost everything in a tragic house fire. Along with all of their belongings, they lost their beloved dog, Lady, who was the most energetic little dog in the world.

This has been a heartbreaking and life-altering event. Both DeAnna and Will are disabled—my mom has epilepsy, and Will lives with a brain injury—which already makes daily life a challenge. Despite this, my mom is one of the strongest, most caring people I know. She’s always the first to show up for others, offer help, and be there when someone is in need.

She’s currently in school, working extremely hard to build a better life and become a paralegal, but the fire took her laptop, all of her textbooks. Now, they’re starting from scratch, with no home, no basic items, and no safety net.
