My name is Loretta, and I am raising money to help my sister, Sandra, and her daughter Estelline. Last night, her apartment building unexpectedly caught fire, engulfing the entire building in flames. Thankfully, she, her daughter, and the other building tenants made it out safely. Unfortunately, the structure and all their personal items are a total loss, including things that are not monetarily replaceable. She made it out with Estelline, a diaper bag, her purse, and her phone.

Sandra is a single mom. This was her first apartment, and she had already financially invested so much into it. She was intent on making it a beautiful first home for her and Estelline; they had already shared many beautiful memories.

If you know her, you know that Sandra has a big heart and has so much love for her family and friends. In all the chaos this morning, she made sure to go and knock on every single one of her neighbor’s doors personally to let them know that there was fire/smoke and that they needed to get out immediately.

Right now, Sandra will need all the support she can get. She will need to replace all the items she lost in the fire. She works full-time and will start back up with school next week. One of the items lost in the fire was her laptop for school, which is necessary for her schooling. She will also need to begin looking for a new home for her and Estelline, and along with that will come costs of first/last and deposit for a new place.
