Fire Recovery Assistance for Ardyce Blum Fowler

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Carolyn, I’m one of Ardyce’s forever friends from academy. Sometime between July 30 and August 1, 2022 Ardyce’s home was destroyed by the Elmo Fire in Montana. Ardyce and her fur baby Watson were safely evacuated however Ardyce’s home and all her belongings were destroyed.

On June 28, 2018 Ardyce and her husband Vern left there home in Redlands California and moved to Dayton Montana. Dayton is a hour southwest of Glacier National Park and is on the largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi. Ardyce and Vern felt fortunate, and believed they had a little piece of Heaven. Their property offered them peace, solitude and a place of healing.

Ardyce wrote that the simple life of Montana filled her heart with joy. In October of 2019 Ardyce describes feeling humbled and fortunate having survived breast cancer 15 years.

Ardyce describes the beauty of her surrounding always made a perfect day. She stated, “the birds chirping, the gentle rain, and the serenity feeds my soul.

An unexpected sadness gave all pause with the unexpected passing of Vern, Ardyce’s beloved husband of 29 years in September 2021.

In Ardyce style she faced sorrow and grief with her eternal optimism and continued on at their beloved Montana home. She survived winter, living by herself with her companion Watson by her side. Ardyce said, she had many moments of personal growth during the winter of 2021. Becoming proficient heating her home with a wood stove and managing a reverse slide down an ice covered driveway are just two examples of her success.

You will see the beauty of Ardyce’s little piece of Heaven in the pictures posted. And, by witnessing this beautiful tranquil home setting, you will understand the devastation of Ardyce’s loss. It’s not just about her home and her belongings it’s about her whole life being devastated.
Ardyce posted a picture of her home in ruins and stated, “Dreams have expiration dates. This is what remains of my home. My riches are found in my family and friends.”

Ardyce is not sure of her next steps but she has always trusted the lord to lead and will continue to pray for guidance as she processes her grief and loss. At this point she isn’t sure what her needs will be and is only just beginning to process new beginnings.

We have set up this account to help Ardyce and Watson as they navigate an uncharted path and start their life anew out of the ashes.
