Fire Recovery: Aid for Snugz and Staff

Hi everyone,

It has been very hard to write this email and inform of the news, but here it goes.

On December 26th an out of control fire happened in the upstairs apartment at approx 5:10 pm, causing structural damage to the entire building. I was working a middle shift when we evacuated the building due to fire. I stayed on site with the fire department, until the massive fire was out at 8:30pm. All humans got out safe, but all 3 of the landlords’ family dogs perished of smoke inhalation. This was one of the hardest events I’ve ever experienced.

The amount of raw destruction that has struck Snugz on the day after Christmas is heartbreaking. All of the water upstairs caved in our ceilings. There is no way to continue business at our current location. The fire battalion captain allowed me to remove some of the important business computers, but most items had to be abandoned.

There is a pending investigation to the cause of fire upstairs.

I send this humbly and painfully.

The funds will be used to help with a range of things: from staff needs (lost wages, belongings, medical) to administrative requirements, loss of product, recovery and relocation of items at the site.
