My name is Kailie and New Year's morning I experienced the most terrifying situation of my life. I was with my boyfriend Matt after a fun New Year's eve. I woke up to the smell of smoke, quickly woke Matt up, and tried to figure out where it was coming from.

We quickly realized the bottom apartment was engulfed in flames. We ran out the back door and made it out safely in the nick of time.

One of Matt's cats made it out safely. The 2nd, sweet little Thumper Matt recently adopted from me, did not make it. The apartment building is destroyed. Matt lost absolutely everything. He has nothing left. His cousins, who were on the top floor also made it out safely, but have nothing left. Matt has no insurance.
