Fire Left Us Homeless: Garay Family Aid

Hi everyone, my name is Gina and today my husband, 2 young children, and I experienced the tragedy of losing our home.

At 6:00 am on April 11th, my husband and I woke up to the smell of smoke. Upon checking our children’s room, we noticed large clouds of smoke pouring out from the apartment on the other side of our bedroom walls. Miraculously, we were able to evacuate the home safely with our 2 children before the fire could attack their room with them asleep in their beds.

My 1-year-old daughter's room was engulfed in flames by the time we got out the front door. All my Facebook family and friends, I’m asking for help in this very difficult time, as the town of Brookhaven deemed it unsafe & we no longer have a home to live in.
