On January 8, 2025, the unthinkable happened. A devastating fire tore through Rita & Danny Roach’s home, leaving behind nothing but ashes and memories. In the blink of an eye, everything was lost—photos, personal belongings, furniture, purse, car keys, fur babies, and the very place they once called home. Imagine being 74 & 80 and having to start all over.

We’re reaching out to our community to offer support during this incredibly challenging time. Rita & Danny are facing the difficult task of rebuilding from the ground up, and they need our help.

The fire completely destroyed their home. Nothing is left but ashes. We are so thankful, Rita & Danny were able to escape with smoke inhalation, but the emotional and financial toll is overwhelming. Right now, they are focused on securing shelter and replacing essential items, all while grappling with the grief of losing their home.

• Housing: We are hoping for maybe a mobile home that can be moved on their property.

In addition because of health problems for both of them they had to make decisions so many of our neighbors are making and had to pay medical bills and missed payments on their home owners insurance and it lapsed so they have no insurance.
