On June 27th around 10pm, my mom smelled smoke in her room as she was about to go to bed. She opened the door and was hit with a wave of blinding smoke. She immediately yelled for my dad so they could get out of the home safely. In that moment due to the amount of heavy smoke, she was only able to grab her phone and purse. My mom and dad ran outside and called 911 from the car in the parking lot next door. They watched helplessly; our family home of years went down in flames. Our home was a representation of years of my parents working hard towards the American Dream and watching it burn was devastating. My parents and younger sister have now been displaced after having lived in the home for 13 years. They've lost almost everything from clothing to laptops and irreplaceable memories. The entire house has fire, smoke, and a heavy amount of water damage. Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story. Any help is greatly appreciated.
