Fire Island Pines Kitten Rescue
Please help me help them! Urgently needed medical care, food and supplies for these sick and orphaned kittens. Fire Island in the summer brings homeowners and happy tourists to its warm and beautiful beaches. The Pines community is known for partys, fun, and a sense of community. However, when the sun sets on summer, and the last ferry boat takes everyone off the island for the season, the Pines becomes a vacant, cold desolate town... and exposes its forgotten and most fragile residents. There are currently over 40 cats and kittens, who through no fault of their own, were born or left behind on the island, and they will face freezing temperatures and starvation this winter.
SUMMER
WINTER
For the last few years I have worked alone every weekend to capture and take as many kittens off the island as possible, focusing mostly on the smallest weakest kittens who have many medical issues.
There are currently three pregnant moms who will give birth in late October. Their baby kittens will not survive without help... and adult cats left behind will need heated shelters and food to survive:( I am struggling, and desperately need monetary help to continue my heartbreaking passion of helping as many as possible. Right now I am hoping for donations to help several orphaned kittens with extensive medical issues...
"Tarzan" 10 weeks old. born with cerebellum hyperplasia (kitten tourettes) is in bad shape and would have died. He was the last survivor of his litter. I took him to Long Island vet specialists to try and save him. What a little fighter! So far his medical costs are $2000. With proper care and a much needed brain MRI , he will live a good life as a "special needs" kitty.
"Gracie" Broke her keg and would have been fox or racoon food if I didn't help her!:( She needed an orthopedist, a cast, and needs many bandage changes to come. Costs so far $3648.
Tarzan Gracie
"Cedar" 4 months old. Has a heart murmur and lung worm. This sweet loving little boy was all alone and kept coming up to people for help. He is currently being treated at a vet in Astoria Queens, and he is going for an EKG on 8/31 in Plainview. Just the test alone costs $600.
Many "Pines kittens" are born healthy and can be rescued and adopted! However, when there are no more people around to feed them, snow covers the ground and they are left for dead, it is the worst thing you can ever imagine.
My friends, clients and lovers of Puppy Pals Camp and videos.... if I have brought you or your dog Joy over the years and you are an animal lover like me, please help me help the most helpless little ones you've ever seen! Please donate as little or as much as you can, and help ease their suffering... Winter is coming fast:(
Any requests for proof of medical bills will gladly be answered. I also greatly need donations for food and shelter for those who have no chance of being adopted :( And if by any chance you can be a foster parent to a sick or healthy kitten... please reach out and let me know.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️ and theirs.
