If you live in Wake Forest, you know Wayne Parker. He has worked for B & W Hardware for almost 20 years, and at Shorty's Famous Hot Dogs for longer than that. He is always a joyous person to be around, and brings a smile to everyone that knows him.

On Monday, November 29, 2021 - there was a fire at the home he was renting here in Wake Forest. He lost all of his belongings, as well as his beloved dog.

We are hoping that Wake Forest and the surrounding communities will come together to help provide funds for him to get back on his feet. Funds will be used to provide temporary housing, and to purchase all of the necessities of life for him moving forward - clothes, food, furniture, etc.

Thanks to our friends at Candlewood Suites Wake Forest - he will be living in their hotel at a majorly discounted rate through January 10. This will give him proper time to find a new place to call home starting in 2022.

All donations to this fundraiser will go directly to a bank account established at Fidelity Bank in Downtown Wake Forest for this emergency fund.

Monetary donations can be made here on GoFundMe - or dropped off at B & W Hardware during normal business hours.

If you have any questions - please call Joe Kimray at B & W Hardware - [phone redacted].

Thank you in advance for your generosity!
