Fire Fund for Panorama Diver
Donation protected
On Tuesday April 5, 2022 at 6am I awoke from the worst night of sleep.
I headed to the kitchen to drink a glass of water and checked my phone and saw a message from my ex business partner saying “Everything is gone, I'm sorry"
My heart cringed as I watched the video of Panorama Diver burning in flames.
I panicked knowing that my best friend, Suhaimi (Panorama Diver’s now manager) is staying upstairs of the dive shop.
I called and received news that everyone at Panorama is safe.
Luckily for Suhaimi, he managed to escape in time before the fire spread to the roof. It was a windy night. The fire got bigger and bigger and before anyone could react, everything in the dive shop was burnt to the ground which includes 5 dive staff equipment and Suzy cafe next door.
With the help of all the wonderful people of long beach, they were able to keep the fire in control without it spreading further.
With everything that is going on in the world, I know I'm asking a lot but if somehow I or the staff at Panorama has touched your heart, I humbly ask for your contribution in whatever small or big way that you can to help get the staff, Suzy's cafe and Panorama Diver back on their feet again as the people on the island has no insurance and is left with no savings from 2 years of not being able to open fully because of the pandemic.
As some of you know I co-owned Panorama Diver for 13 years with Masron Mustafa. I left in 2020.
It breaks my heart for not being able to be there for them during this tough time. I have given everything I have from my savings but since I too have been out of job for almost 2 years, the money given could barely help with necessities.
The money collected will go to:
1. 5 x full set of equipment for the staff that lost in the fire.
2. Suzy cafe next door that also got taken down by the fire.
And for the diveshop:
1. Building of the new shop
2. 10 x BCD
3. 10 x Regulator's
4. 20 x tanks
5. 5 x dive computers
