In the early hours of August 16th,  Ed awoke suddenly not realizing the hero he was about to become. Hearing the faint sounds of crackling from outside he discovers smoke and flames from the front of their adjoing neighbor's apartment. Within minutes Ed managed to alert the sleeping family ( a walls distance away) and get his wife and three pets outside to safety. He saved 4 children and 4 adults including himself. 
Now lucky to be alive, Sonya and Ed now face the reality that their home, car, furniture, clothing, precious family memorabilia and beloved pet are now gone.
