David Kocol, while in Milwaukee for the holidays and business, received a text message from one of his Texas neighbors, telling him that she had some bad news for him. David’s rented duplex on Pernitas Point, along with two other homes on Lake Corpus Christi, had burned to the ground, along with all of his furniture and personal belongings.
As he got more sad news of the fire, and the neighbor’s photos and videos started showing up on Facebook, he started to realize the magnitude of his loss. It is truly immeasurable. And as the weekend progresses and he remembers yet another cherished item that is lost, the wave of sadness starts again.
If you know David, you know that he would do anything to help anyone. And being the proud man that he is, he would never ask for help directly. So I will ask for him.
If you are able, David could use some financial support to begin the long process of rebuilding, finding a place to stay, replacing his clothing, shoes, furniture, kitchen items and on and on.
