On February.10, 2021, we were devastated to find out that the Sadowick's family home had burnt to the ground in a matter of minutes. Everything that they have spent their entire lives working for turned to ash in a blink of an eye. Merv, Zab and the family dog Duke, thankfully, were not harmed but now have only the clothes on their back. This was not just a house, it was a home full of love and cherished memories and had been in the Sadowick family since 1968. Mervin was raised in this house and now their grandchildren have grown up knowing it as their second home as well. These two beautiful souls have spent their entire lives helping out their family and friends when they needed it. Merv and Zab would always have a fresh pot of hot coffee on when times get tough and extra spaghetti to feed any unexpected guests. Many of us have been welcomed to join in on the family reunion festivities, lake days, boat rides, camp fires and fishing off the dock at the lake. It was the place to go when you feel like your lost. Zab and Merv have served as a homing beacon for many of us and now is the time to show them how much we love and appreciate them and give them the hand up that they so badly need but would never ask for.
We don't know at this point how long it will take to get them back on their feet but we can only hope this little extra love will carry them through. Please help us in any momentary amount that you can manage in hopes this will make such a devastating loss a little more bearable for Merv and Zab.
