❤️ Please Help Rebuild and Save our Sanctuary After a Heartbreaking Fire ❤️
On December 7th, 2025, a devastating fire swept through Happy Days animal sanctuary, taking the lives of 31 cats who were cherished and deeply loved. These were not “just animals” they were survivors, companions, and gentle souls who had finally found safety within the walls of the sanctuary.
The founders, Ann Swinson, her two sons Shane and Ryan, and the entire team at Happy Days are heartbroken. In an instant, they lost precious lives and the safe spaces that made their rescue work possible. And on top of this tragedy, Ann, the heart behind this sanctuary lost her home, belongings and valuables. She has dedicated her life to saving animals, and now she is left with a catastrophe.
Despite this overwhelming grief, the entire team must push forward as there are still many surviving animals to care for. These animals and all future neglected and abused animals cannot afford for the sanctuary to close its doors.
The remaining building was already at full capacity prior to the fire and now it is the only structure remaining to house all the animals, supplies, food, etc. It is imperative that we act quickly to restore and repair what was damaged and build a safe and secure secondary space to support the ongoing efforts.
With cold winter months already here, the need is immediate. The surviving animals, the staff, and Ann herself are all at risk without proper shelter, warmth, and essential supplies. We need to begin rebuilding right away so no more lives are put in danger.
Your donation will go directly toward rebuilding safe housing, replacing essential supplies, food, medication and supporting Ann with helping the surviving animals heal both physically and emotionally.
If you’ve ever loved an animal, you understand the depth of this loss.
Please consider donating or sharing this fundraiser so that out of this tragedy, hope and healing can grow again.
Thank you for standing with us. ❤️
