On September 14th 2020, Havana, Florida natives Tawanna and Greg Hunter were in their home preparing for bed when a house fire ensued and destroyed not only everything inside, but the home itself.  As if watching their home go up in flames was not enough, the couple remains out of work due to Tawanna contracting COVID-19 while working as a childcare provider (and her husband [Greg] later testing positive). Without a home, basic necessities, and income they are left with the devastation of having only the clothing on their backs, which is compounded by their ongoing battle with the coronavirus and other underlining (pre-existing) health challenges.  

Family and friends established this GoFundMe to assist the family with finding a place to live, easing the financial burden associated with rebuilding basic necessities (e.g. food, shelter, clothing, etc.), replenishing medications, and medical devices.  Although, upon full recovery Greg can resume working, Tawanna will remain out of work due to the childcare facility being closed.  Since more than half of the providers contracted the coronavirus along with many of the children; Tawanna's job will be closed until further notice for this mass outbreak of COVID-19.
