Loss of life, home, and personal belongings. A horrible fire broke out in South San Jose the morning of August 5th 2019. Two lives and a family home was lost due to this tragic fire. 

Barney and Sandy Brookbank uprooted their family, five children, and all of their belongings to move in to support Sydney Brookbank (Barney’s mother), who suffered from Multiple Sclerosis and eventually was bed ridden due to the disease. They were her primary caregivers before her passing in the fire

The Brookbank’s are trying to reminisce in old memories of the house they used to know and cherish the times spent with Sydney. Due to the tragedy of losing not only family members and their cats but they lost their home. The Brookbank’s need to start over.

Even though the Brookbank’s have lost all possessions they really appreciate the support from family, friends, and neighbors during this time and for that they are truly blessed.
