Fire Destroyed Family of 4's Home

Our neighbor, Shameka Lowery, was out of town when her home on Watkins Ave. caught fire Sunday evening. Shameka and her three children were, thankfully, not home at the time, and they are physically OK. Emotionally, not so much. Unfortunately, she didn't have renter's insurance, so she is going to have to replace a lot of her things and her kids' things on her own, as well as find a new place to rent (anyone have a vacant home for around $1100 a month?) I am anticipating her needing at least $3,000-5,000 to get everything together, but I think even $1,000 would be a good start. That would be close to a full month's rent.  Many thanks, kind hearted friends.
