Last night (5/18/2020) an accidental fire started in the kitchen of our home and rapidly spread into the ceiling through the exhaust vent and insulation. The firefighters were able to put the fire out before the house was a complete lost but to do this, they had to collapse the roof in various places to make sure the fire was completely out. The damage caused to our home is bad enough that we can not live in the home until the house is fixed and made safe. The timeline we have been given is it will take anywhere from 6 months to a year to repair our home.  There are 4 adults (me, my sister, my mom and my cousin) as well as 2 children (my niece and nephew) and 3 dogs, 2 cats, 4 guniea pigs and an iguana who have been displaced for the foreseeable future.  We have been lucky enough to get some help from the RedCross, but because of Covid-19, we are all out of work. The hotels in the area have jacked up their rates and we can not afford to stay in these hotels for more than a few days. We need help with paying for these hotel bills as well as finding a new place to live until our home is fixed. We can't stay in the hotel indefinitely because our pets are not welcome.  If you can donate that would be wonderful, if you can't, please share this so it can reach someone how may have the funds to donate.  Edit:The Insurance company is claiming that we don't have insurance. Gonna have to pay out of pocket for repairs. God I cant believe this shit.
