Fire claims the life of 1 leaving 1 other homeless
Donation protected
Back in November Robert W. (Bob) Bryan Jr. of Valle Mines, sadly passed on Monday, November 20, 2023, at the age of 70.
Bob left behind his loving wife of 44 years Catherine (Katie) Bryan to care for their terminally ill 40-year-old son Jacob who was battling brain cancer.
The loss of Bob had already put Ms. Bryan in a very tight financial situation, as she was now living on a very small fixed income only able to make her mortgage payment with the help of her son's disability funds.
When things seemed they couldn't get any worse, on Monday, March, 18th around 5:15 pm a house fire claimed the life of (Jacob) her son, and left Ms. Bryan homeless.
The turmoil Ms. Bryan has endured over the past 4 months is "Unimaginable.". She has lost EVERYTHING and is facing the task of rebuilding her life, not only from nothing but in her eyes, alone.
This is where we step in as a community to help Ms. Bryan.
She is going to need assistance with funeral costs, medical bills, housing, etc.
There is a homeowner policy, but unfortunately due to the age of the home, the policy is barely enough to cover the cleanup of the debris left behind from the fire and the displacement coverage will only cover housing for approximately 5 months.
All Donation will go to cover the Funeral Cost for Jacob and living expenses for Ms. Bryan
Jacob (Jake) Bryan
Sadly Jake passed in the fire on 3/18/2024
Catherine (Katie) Bryan (survivor)
