Fire Chief Daryl "Taddy" Drusch, age 49, died from an apparent cardiac arrest after responding to an emergency call several hours earlier.
This is the first Firefighter Line-of-Duty-Death in Minnesota in 2020. Chief Drusch leaves behind a wife and young son. Funds will be used for funeral costs and bridge funding for the family during this time of transition to a new normal.
All funds will be delivered to the Drusch family.
The Minnesota Fire Service Foundation will administer the funds. The Minnesota Fire Service Foundation is a 501 c 3 organization.
