Fire causing devastating loss to young family

Kiran, her husband and their new baby were woken up at 12am by fire alarm bells ringing. The fire was raging in the apartment above theirs deeming her apartment inhabitable with extensive damage from fire and water. 

Kiran and her husband came to Canada   a few years ago and have no family or help in kamloops. Kiran is on maternity leave from River City Early Learning Centre and doesn’t get maternity leave because they aren’t Canadian citizens yet. Their new baby named Kevin was born in Canada just a short time ago.

Kiran is going to be relying on a lot of help from the community as they find somewhere to live, and rebuy everything they’ve lost from the. heart breaking fire, also while trying to navigate this traumatic event and recover emotionally.
