On Friday afternoon, September 2nd, we had a very terrifying fire at Shamrock Ranch in Pacifica, California. A tiny spark in these dry times found fuel in the wood dust of our friend Zoe’s warehouse/workshop. It took no time at all for it to spread into a healthy roar and consume the rest of the building. Fortunately, Zoe was able to evacuate the building saving himself and his dog; emergency services were called and were swift to arrive in force. Our brave Pacifica firefighters, amongst firefighters from other cities, were there in short order and contained the fire to the workshop, saving
Zoe’s house and potentially the rest of the ranch.
For those of you who don’t know Zoe, he is a very accomplished and talented wood craftsman, mechanic and surfboard shaper who is always willing to lend a helping hand. The fire destroyed a lifetime collection of specialized tools, as well as personal items and a piece of Shamrock Ranch history. We have started this Go Fund Me page
in order to help him get a leg up on replacing his tools and rebuilding his workshop. Please help by donating whatever amount you can.
