Fire at my Dad's
Donation protected

Thursday afternoon, a 2 alarm fire tore through the apartment below the one he shares with his grandson, Richie. They were lucky enough to escape, by climbing down from their top floor porch, on to a lower level's AC unit, then onto the downstair's neighbor's porch and jumped from there. Thankfully, they're OK, physically.
They were given $480, total, by the American Red Cross, to cover ALL of their needs, ie, housing, food and clothing. They bought two days worth of clothing, socks, underwear and toiletries and have to check out of their hotel room, tomorrow, with no plan going forward.
I'm hoping my GoFundMe karma, circles back around to help ease their stress of being displaced.
They'll have to start from scratch, as they left with only the clothes on their backs and the fire department has deemed their apartment uninhabitable.
Any contributions, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated and immediately put to good use.
