Fire Victims of Cannon South Apartments
At 3:30 am on February first, I watched the entire first two buildings of my apartment complex go up in flames. We were woken up by our neighbors or APD banging on our doors and windows to urge us to wake our families and get out (I grabbed my cat, my keys, my phone, and my wallet). We then watched for the rest of the night and into the next morning as a 3 alarm fire ravaged the front of our complex. 21 families now have no home. 21 families watched on as fire devastated their lives and destroyed everything. They lost EVERYTHING: all of their possessions, family photos, heirlooms, clothes, electronics, furniture-EVERYTHING. Some had renter's insurance, but some did not. Please consider donating-proceeds will go to help the displaced start their new life. They need all the help they can get.
Thank you to all the firefighters and personal that helped us. While this is beyond devastating for so many, it could have been so much worse. Please, please help if you can,
