Fire and Crash: Help Max and His Mother

I am Staff Sergeant Franco Jonathan, and I have known Corporal Max Ibarra since he joined our unit, 5/14 Battery O, in the fall of 2020. I am reaching out to request financial assistance for Corporal Ibarra, who has recently encountered a series of unfortunate circumstances.

On June 18, 2025, a fire broke out in a neighboring home, and the flames quickly spread to Corporal Ibarra's residence, which he was renting with his mother. Their home suffered significant smoke and water damage.

The landlord has informed them that their home is no longer suitable for living, and they need to make arrangements to move out. While the Red Cross and his bank have provided some assistance, it is not sufficient to support them in the coming months.

Unfortunately, on June 21, 2025, another life-altering event occurred. While Corporal Ibarra was traveling to his hotel from work, he was struck by a drunk driver. Thankfully, he was unharmed; however, his car was totaled. He is currently relying on Uber for transportation, which can quickly become an expensive alternative, diverting funds he could use for a new rental deposit and other necessities.

Currently, Corporal Ibarra is staying in a hotel, while his mother is staying with a friend. They plan to find a new rental home, but the costs of moving and necessary deposits will be substantial. I anticipate that he will face significant financial challenges and would like to rally our brothers, sisters, and loved ones to support him.
