Fiona’s Double Knee Surgery

Hey everyone,

I’m not sure how to go about asking, especially given how tight everything is financially for all of us these days, but I have started a gofundme for my sweet girl Fiona.

While on an off leash walk Fiona had some zoomies like she does but this time she slipped on some mud. Fiona’s Mum, Meghan, and my Mom were with her and said she instantly started to limp. As the day progressed her limp worsened until she was unable to weight bear entirely and didn’t want to move much. In the 5 years I’ve had Fiona I’ve never heard her whine, and in this last day and a half I’ve heard her whine and whimper more times than I can count.

Within 24hrs of her injury she had been fully assessed by our veterinarian. As it turns out, she has a complete torn CCL (Cruciate ligament) as well as a partial on her other knee and will require surgery on both. We can get them both done at the same time to cut costs but it is an expensive surgery.

Many know, and some don’t, but this dog is my whole life. Without her I truly wouldn’t be here. She saved me in some very dark times and I’d do anything for her.

The money raised will be to help with the costs of the surgery as well as help with the 8-12 week rehab period. Any amount helps. Thank you.
