Finn's Family Support
Donation protected
Hi everyone.
I have set up another gofundme for my little Mister Finn and his family to help them cover expenses while Finn is in Boston Children's hospital for another open heart surgery.
I will share the last Facebook post from Abbe on August 22 ...
"As most of you may know, Finn was born with a rare congenital heart defect called HLHS (Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome)
The current treatment varies, but most have to undergo (at minimum) 3 open heart surgeries, usually before the age of 5.
We recently found out that Finn is in need of his 3rd surgery. It is scheduled for September 14th, 2022.
We know a lot of friends and family like to keep tabs on Finns' journey, and this is another large hurdle that took us a bit to decide to share.
There’s not much more information than that for now, but we will be transparent and update when we can about things. Please feel free to message either Frank or me with any questions, but keep in mind this is a stressful and anxious time for us."
Friends, the things Abbe did not mention in that post were this... They recently found out that their 28-year-old furnace needs replacement. If they lose heat with Finn at home, it could be fatal for him.
They also have been dealing with a loss of income from Frank needing some neck and shoulder surgery which has put him out of work for a minimum of 6-8 months. He has been out for 2 months at this point.
Abbe just started (10 days ago) a new job which will ultimately pay very well, but with Finn going in for surgery, she has had to request family leave for that and will not be eligible for paid leave.
They can get some help from the state, but that takes time, and they don't have that much time.
I hope we can raise the funds needed for the furnace and cover some expenses (mortgage, gas cards, electric, etc...) until the state aid kicks in.
Please Pray for Finn.
Thank You.
