Some people treasure possessions, some put their careers first, and others cherish their children. My very dear friend, Sarah Scott, makes every decision in her life with the health and happiness of her animals valued above all else. They are truly her 'everything', to the point that she has become a horse and dog trainer in order to be with them as much as possible. 

This last year has brought a rash of bad luck for her and her furry family, culminating in the horrible events of last night. Her beautiful 13-year-old horse, Finnegan, had a terrible accident that required extensive veterinary care (we lost count of the number of stitches and staples in the hundreds). I have personally been training on him for 6 months now but have been getting hugs from him since the first day I met him. He is the gentlest, kindest horse I have ever met and is almost as cuddly as Teemu, her famous "lap"weiler, who will also be going to see the vet soon to assess an injured leg. 

It looks like it will be a long and very expensive road to Finnegan's recovery and she could use a little help from her friends.
