Finn Torjesen Medical Expenses

This fund is being set up to help cover medical expenses for my father, Finn Torjesen. About a year and half ago he suffered from a burn out after almost 40 years of work in Asia. All of a sudden his energy was gone, he was sick and he wasn't recovering. My parents, who were living and working in China at the time, decided they needed to return to the US for a time of healing. Since that time dad has made amazing strides in his health, regaining much, but not all of his energy. This past summer however, he received the diagnosis of prostate cancer. We have many wonderful friends and have not been short on advice. After pursuing a more natural route it's become clear that he has succeeded in keeping the cancer from progressing, but it is still present. On the advice of a dear, highly respected friend,  and much prayer, he has decided to do a focal laser ablation proceedure. It is not as common of a procedure in the US, though it is well documented and used in Australia and other countries. The side effects are significantly less than other options, and it has a very high success rate. Unfortunately that also comes with a pricetag that insurance won't cover.  We have been blessed by the friends and family that have already reached out asking how they can help. These friends encouraged me to set up this fund. Thank you for your love and for your prayers!

We will be traveling to Houston next week for his proceedure on April 18th.
