Finley Family Medical Supply Fund

My name is Amanda, and I am starting this fundraiser to help support my family with purchasing medical supplies and other needs in this difficult time for my husband, Matt.

About a month ago my husband was hospitalized due to an infection that had turned necrotic. This means part of his flesh was dying and caused his body to go into sepsis. His surgeon made it clear that we were very lucky, had we not made it to the emergency room when we did he could have lost his life.

3 emergency surgeries later, and finding out that he was diabetic (his blood sugar was 378 when he was admitted, which that alone could have killed him), he is home and on the mend. While he’s home though there is a large wound on his leg from where they had to cut out all the dead tissue. This means we need a lot of saline, wound wash, tape, AB pads, gloves and gauze rolls.

It all adds up, Matt has been on unemployment since he lost his job back in March but they haven’t paid him in a month now. I’ve gone back to work but haven’t reached my first paycheck yet and we are drowning trying to keep up with everything.
