The FinishLyme Scholarship Fund

The Fight Beyond the Diagnosis The FinishLyme 5K was founded in 2018 by Beth Scoville, a Southern Tier native, dedicated local runner, and chronic Lyme patient. Following her diagnosis, Beth quickly discovered a harsh reality: the essential treatments required for recovery are often not covered by insurance. For many families, these staggering out-of-pocket expenses make recovery feel impossible, leading to needless suffering.

Real Impact: 10 Families and Counting We believe that no one should have to choose between their financial stability and their health. To date, the FinishLyme 5K has successfully awarded medical scholarships to ten local families, providing direct financial assistance for the specialized care and treatments that insurance leaves behind.

Our Mission Our mission is to ensure that anyone suffering from Lyme disease has a place to turn for support. By bringing the community together for our annual 5K run/walk, we raise awareness and funds necessary to award life-changing scholarships.
