Hey friends, family, and this amazing community,
As many of you know, earlier this year I underwent my first major skin removal surgery after losing over 260 lbs. That operation was life-changing — not just physically, but mentally and emotionally too. I can’t thank you enough for rallying behind me, sharing my story, donating, and cheering me on. Because of you, I was able to take that first step toward finally feeling comfortable in my own skin (literally).
Now, I’m preparing for round two: removing the excess skin on my arms and legs. These areas still carry a heavy daily burden — physically with rashes, pain, and movement restrictions, and emotionally. This surgery is the next huge milestone in reclaiming my life fully.
I am beyond grateful to share that Dr. G has generously waived his surgical fee for this procedure. That act of kindness takes an enormous financial weight off my shoulders.
But there are still many costs that aren’t covered, including:
- Facility / operating room fees
- Anesthesiologist fees
- Travel & accommodations (surgery isn’t local)
- Pre-op and post-op care
- Lymphatic drainage massages (crucial for recovery and healing)
- Compression garments (multiple sets are needed)
- Scar treatments
- Medications & supplies
- Insurance
These are the behind-the-scenes expenses that add up quickly but are absolutely essential for a safe and successful outcome.
This isn’t just about appearance — it’s about quality of life. Loose skin can be painful, limit mobility, and create constant challenges with hygiene and daily activity. Every step of this process gets me closer to moving freely, feeling more confident, and being able to fully live the life I’ve been working toward since day one of my weight loss journey.
If my first surgery was about stepping into a new chapter, this one is about closing the book on years of carrying extra weight — both literally and emotionally.
If you feel called to support, every donation — no matter the size — helps me cover these necessary costs. Even sharing this campaign with friends, family, or on social media makes a huge difference in getting the word out.
I’ve always promised to be transparent about my journey, and I’ll continue to share updates (and probably some laughs) along the way.
From the bottom of my heart: thank you. Thank you for believing in me, for standing with me, and for helping me take another step toward the life I’ve worked so hard to build.
With endless gratitude,
Jesse
