1000Skydives | 10,000km Doing our best and bravest
In 2020 we are raising funds for Charity Build Group, a not-for-profit company established as a long term sustainable income source for both Eagles Wings and other like minded charities assisting disadvantaged children and families. Our big picture dream is, by any means possible, reach $100,000 by New Years Eve, 2020 to start Charity Home #3.
Doing our best and bravest simply reflects people setting a goal to push themselves close to, and beyond, what is physically and mentally possible for them. Or to be brave and overcome the fear of jumping out of a plane, so disadvantaged children may reach their own God given potential in life.
In July 2020 I will attempt my best to break the current Guinness World record for fastest to cycle 10,000km currently set at 22 days, 15 hours 34 minutes and 9 seconds; ahhhhhh. This is just my way of acting on my own convictions. I want to be an example to my children that compassion is always action orientated and costs something small or significant.
In August 2020 children up to 12 years of age can register and ride for up to 6 hours on a dedicated track representing a school day. Each child will set their own kilometres goal which they believe will be the best they can achieve in this time frame. They represent the primary aged children who do not have the opportunity to a quality education and are riding for them.
Then throughout 2020 we are aiming for up to 50 people to be brave and jump out of a plane, overcoming any possible fears they may have, or setting those fears aside for a few moments in order to raise funds for our charitable goals.
2020 is going to be a BIG year where, as you can see, we are doing whatever it takes to achieve something good in the life of disadvantage children and families. That’s our heart; that’s why we do what we do and want to see Charity Build Group not only meet, but hopefully, go beyond our 2020 goals.
On behalf of Charity Build Group.
