Finish the New Tower at Alaska Raceway Park!
Donation protected
Hello Alaska Raceway Park friends and family. My name is Mike Giovanelli... a casual racer, spectator, and avid supporter of Michelle Lackey and her staff at the ARP track. Some of you may only know me from the Audis that I own and drive. Myself and a few other ARP supporters decided this GoFundMe campaign would be the solution to assist Michelle regarding the following.
We’re racing against the clock—Alaska Raceway Park needs your help to finish the new tower!
The old tower was outdated and no longer safe, so it was torn down and construction began on a brand-new timing and announcer tower to keep Alaska drag racing strong. But midway through the project, an unexpected roadblock was encountered: fire code compliance.
New requirements from the fire marshal have increased the cost of completing the project, and ARP is now facing a funding gap that’s threatening to stall progress. To move forward and get the tower ready for the 2025 racing season, it is necessary to raise an additional $75,000.
This tower is absolutely essential to operations at ARP. It houses:
• Timing systems that ensure accurate, fair racing
• Announcers and race officials who keep events running smoothly
• Communications equipment for emergency response and race logistics
Every dollar you give will go toward completing the structure and meeting all new safety codes—keeping the drag-strip open, operational, and ready for racers and fans alike.
If you love drag racing, community events, or just want to support a homegrown Alaskan tradition, all involved would be incredibly grateful for your support.
Let’s finish what was started—donate, share, and help keep Alaska Raceway Park roaring!
