Finish Season 3 of Kara’s Lipstick Diary

Hi my name is Kara Winslow and I’m a makeup artist based in Gainesville Fl. I’m a middle aged single woman that owns her own company in a college town which leads to some entertaining encounters in life.

During the pandemic being a makeup artist was challenging and through therapy realized I needed an outlet to discuss things I struggled with and found important. I started producing a podcast/YouTube channel where we discuss all the things your mama told you not to talk about in public but are important topics. The conversations are mostly things aimed at 30-50 year young women will find interesting - from heavy topics like sexual assault and mental health to fun light hearted episodes where we taste test booze or review sex toys.

We have filmed 10 episodes for Season 3 but I’ve reach the end of my funding to keep producing it. There’s still so much to talk about. I’m so uncomfortable asking for financial help but I know the show has an amazing impact on others and I want to be able to at least finish producing the last 14 episodes of Season 3.

Viewers of the show from around the country have contacted me about how the episodes about rape, family estrangement and mental health have helped them understand their own situations and get the help they need.
